Homecoming 2017

The Victoria Cool Aid Society is a charity aimed at helping end homelessness in Victoria area, while providing much needed medical, educational, counselling, and other important services to those less fortunate.

The Victoria Cool Aid Society has been a long-time client of Brink Events, and they decided they really wanted to up the ante and create an annual signature event to call their own. After a lengthy and thorough creative process, a nam (“Homecoming”), location (Ship Point), and theme (the ‘home’) were established. Tasked with making it all happen, Brink Events stepped up to the challenge and delivered a masterpiece that was spectacular by all accounts. A giant clear tent was erected at Ship Point and it formed the backdrop as the inside was transformed in a home, with different rooms and vignettes positioned throughout the space. A comfort food menu, full beverage menu, and jazz trio awaited guests. Later on, guests danced the night away to an amazing cover band under the stars. The event itself had a fundraising goal of $50,000 after costs – a lofty goal for a first-year event – but that goal was eclipsed! Overall, guests left happy while the charity left with much needed funds and community awareness.
